When a pageant contestant attaches something to her bikini, people are going to take notice.

Miss Idaho invited the social media world to get behind new campaign called #showmeyourpump.

Sierra Sandison faced a personal fear and inspired others by wearing her insulin pump on her bathing suit during a portion of a competition earlier this week.

Then she posted it on Facebook with a call to action.

“Don’t let your challenge hold you back or slow you down,” Sandison wrote.  “This is not limited to just girls, or to people with pumps — I want to see YOU and whatever your daily battle with diabetes looks like.”

FOX 8 sister station KSTU in Salt Lake City reported Sandison was diagnosed with Type I diabetes in 2012 and has previously spoken about her fear of wearing her insulin pump in public.
