MEDINA COUNTY -- Twister touchdowns have been confirmed following Tuesday's wicked weather.

The National Weather Service confirmed that an EF1 tornado hit at least twice; first at the Lorain-Medina County border into Valley City, where the twister touched down on Island Rd. and Rt. 303, just after 1:30 p.m.

The second touchdown was near Valleaire Golf Course at Ridge Rd. and Boston Rd. in Hinckley, just before 2 p.m.

Estimated winds of the tornado were 94 mph.

According to Gary Garnet, the warning coordinator with the National Weather Service in Cleveland, "It's most likely the same storm. Tornadoes have a tendency to touch down, lift back up, and touch down again."
