Ramp closures, traffic restrictions to begin as part of reconstruction project

RICHFIELD, Ohio — Some ramp closures and traffic restrictions will begin Monday in Richfield Village and Richfield Township as part of a reconstruction project.

The Interstate 271 northbound exit ramp to state Route 303 will be closed beginning at 7 a.m. Monday. The detour will be I-271 northbound to state Route 8 to state Route 303.

The state Route 303 entrance ramp to I-271 northbound will also be closed at 7 a.m. The detour will be state Route 303 to Brecksville Road to Wheatley Road.

Both ramp closures will be in effect until further notice.

Other restrictions include:

— State Route 176/Broadview Road over I-271 is closed through early September for a bridge replacement. The detour is Brecksville Road and state Route 303.

— State Route 303 over I-271 is restricted to one lane in each direction for bridge work through early December.

The work is part of a $46.4 million project to reconstruction the pavement along I-271 from Broadview Road to the Ohio Turnpike. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by late July 2017.
