CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police will auction off approximately 64 vehicles today that have been abandoned or forfeited to the City of Cleveland.

The event will take place rain or shine beginning at 9 a.m. at Impound Lot #2 at 4300 Bradley Road. The lot will open at 8 a.m. to view vehicles.

The auction will include everything from cars to SUVs and mini-vans of every make and model. All sales are final and none of the vehicles come with a warranty or guarantee. There is a 10 percent cash down payment for the winning bid and the remainder is due within five days.

The proceeds from the sale of the forfeited vehicles will go to the Law Enforcement Trust Fund, which is used to purchase items such as personal body armor and on-board mobile computers for police patrol cars and has funded investigations involving internet crimes against children.

The proceeds from the sale of abandoned vehicles will go to the General Fund.
