A zoo employee dressed as a gorilla was shot by a tranquilizer gun after being mistaken as a real animal.

According to Daily Mail, the worker at a Spanish zoo was dressed as a gorilla as part of a drill on what to do if an actual gorilla were to escape.

The veterinarian who shot the worker had not been advised of the drill.

The worker was shot with a dose meant for a 400-pound gorilla. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
