Police: Man Followed Students, Chased Them Back to High School

BAY VILLAGE, Ohio– A man was arrested, accused of chasing two Bay High School students.

Police said on Thursday, May 15, a maintenance worker called to report that the two students, who were returning from lunch, were being chased by a man near the football field.

Using the description the worker provided to them, police found the man, identified as Bradley Dougan, 35, on Foote Rd.

Police said Dougan was intoxicated; they said an investigation revealed that Dougan began following the students, then chased them towards school property, yelling at them and making aggressive gestures.

There was never any physical contact between Dougan and the students.

Police said Bay High School took appropriate security measures and there was no danger to anyone at the school. 

Dougan of Bay Village was charged with disorderly conduct, intoxication, menacing, and inducing panic.
