As many people know, getting a babysitter for a Saturday night out can get pricey.

Childcare costs continue to rise faster then the overall cost of living. According to data by Urbansitter, parents in New York spend the most for babysitting services with an average hourly rate of $15.34 per child.

San Francisco and D.C. parents also face a big price tag for a night out. Child care in those cities can cost between $14.99 and $13.83. Parents looking to save a little cash should head to Denver, where sitters are paid an average of $10.84 an hour.

The survey by Urbansitter also found that sitters across the country have a high turnover rate. Only six percent of families saying they’ve kept the same babysitter for more than five years.
