CLEVELAND, Ohio -- To mark the anniversary of her rescue, Michelle Knight spent the week talking about her past and the future in several interviews on national TV.

Friday, she visited us here at Fox 8 News in the Morning to do the same. But she also showed a new side of herself -- she was upbeat, laid back and had a lot of fun.

She shared with us that she just recorded a new music single, "Starlight." Michelle said she loves to sing and hopes it plays on the radio one day. She said it's about those who may have been abused in their lives.

"It's to find new light to everything," she said.

Michelle shared her passion with us on stage with our live band guests, Run Avril Run. They performed Katy Perry's "Firework" and had the whole studio on their feet.

Michelle said she loves to cook, especially Thai food, and wants to pursue a career in culinary arts. She's already been offered a cooking job in New York, she said.

Michelle also says she's bowled with Charles Ramsey -- the man credited with helping in Knight's rescue -- and says she is much better than he is!
