CLEVELAND–The Indians took 3 out of four games from the Minnesota Twins at Progressive Field thanks to a 9-4 win on Thursday afternoon.

Justin Masterson started and notched the win, though he did not have his best outing of the season. He allowed 4 hits, and 4 runs, but just two of them were earned over the 6 and one third innings on the hill.

The Indians banged out 15 hits on the day, with Asdrubal Cabrera leading the hit parade with 4. He was a triple shy of hitting for the cycle. In fact, his final hit initially was thought to be a triple to give him the cycle. But the play was ruled a double, with Cabrera advancing to third on the throw from the outfield.

Three other Indians had 3 hits. Michael Brantley, who  drove in three and scored twice.  David Murphy and Mike Aviles.

Brantley stroked his 6th homer of the season in the fifth inning and Cabrera popped his 2nd homer over the fence in the second.

Masterson is now 2-1.

The bullpen of Scott Atchinson and Carlos Carrasco went the rest of the way and limited the Twins to just one hit.

Cleveland is now 15-19 and will travel to Tampa Bay to face the Rays for a weekend series.
