CLEVELAND — Browns general manager Ray Farmer confirmed an earlier report from Fox 26 in Houston that former Texas star QB Vince Young was getting a workout with the team and should take part in the team’s mini-camp this week.

After things went south for Young with the Tennessee Titans, Young was Michael Vick’s backup with the Eagles in 2011.  Young also spent time with the Bills and Packers the past couple seasons, but made no impact as each job did not last long.

If Young were to turn back the clock, he would be in the mix with the assumed starter, Brian Hoyer and a rookie QB, yet to be drafted. Also on Monday, Farmer confirmed Tyler Thigpen was also in Berea.

Young was Associated Press NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2006. He made two Pro Bowls, in 2006, and 2009.
