The Rainey Institute is a community-based arts program for Greater Cleveland youngsters ages 3 and up. The Rainey Institute believes in using the power of the arts to transform young lives.
Students attend Rainey after school, on Saturdays and during the summer to explore music, dance, drama, sewing and art. Students come from over 10 different schools in the Greater Cleveland area.
Students get an orchestra lesson every day at Rainey after their regular school day is over. They can study violin, viola, cello or string bass.
The Rainey Institute believes that daily music lessons can change a child' life for the better. Teachers make the lessons fun, but studies also show that music lessons can help students develop self-confidence and improve social behavior.
