Former Football Star Gets Six Years in Armed Robbery

BRUNSWICK, Ohio– A former University of Akron football player will spend the next six years in prison after robbing a store at gunpoint.

Prosecutors said Seth Cunningham, 22, stole a bong from a tobacco shop in Brunswick in May of 2013.

The crime was caught on surveillance video. The bong was valued at $400.

The six-year sentence was part of a plea deal for aggravated robbery.
