Waiters’ Buzzer-Beater Leads to Cavs Win Over Pistons
Dion Waiters drained a long two-point jumper at the final buzzer and it helped the Cavs win their third in a row, 97-96, over the Detroit Pistons at the Palace at Auburn Hills.
It was the perfect capper to his 18-point night as the Cavs were the comeback kids on this Wednesday night.
They chipped away at the Pistons’ 16-point lead to start the fourth quarter and did not take the lead until Waiters’ final shot.
Matthew Dellavedova had a career high 21 points and Jarrett Jack added 17.
Anderson Varejao popped in a dozen points, but his work on the boards was stellar, as he ripped down 16.
The Cavs are in Brooklyn on Friday night to face the Nets.
