Man Conceals Items, Threatens Employee in Store Theft

AKRON, Ohio — Akron police are asking for the public’s help identifying the suspect involved in a robbery at Burlington Coat Factory.

According to police, the incident happened March 22 at the 510 Howe Ave. location in Akron.

Police said the suspect entered the store and was seen on surveillance cameras concealing merchandise. Police said an employee tried to stop the suspect as he was exiting the store, but he threatened the worker and fled on foot.

The suspect is describes as being a black male with a dark beard and traces of gray hair. He’s between the age of 35 and 40, stands 5’11” and 6’1″ tall and weighs between 200 and 210 pounds. He was wearing a black coat and black jogging pants.

Police said if anyone sees the suspect, they should consider him dangerous and should not try to approach him.
