SANDUSKY, Ohio — The pieces are being put in place for one of this year’s new rides at Cedar Point.

The Pipe Scream is being constructed in the Gemini Midway before it debuts this summer. Crews recently finished placing the 15,000-pound gondola on the ride.

The Pipe Scream is being called “the best of a roller coaster and a flat ride in one.” It will include 302 feet of track and fly 43 feet above the midway at 43 miles per hour.

The Lake Erie Eagles and SlingShot rides will also be new at the park this year.
