Fatal Shooting: Witness Says Shots Were Fired From Vehicle

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police is investigating a shooting that occurred Monday morning.

A 27-year-old man was shot in the area of East 116th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.  He was taken to SouthPointe Hospital where he died.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified him as Durrell Ware.

The person who took Ware to the hospital said around 4:30 a.m., they were driving and a vehicle coming at them fired several shots.

Ware was pronounced dead at the hospital about an hour later..
