If anyone knows I-77 from the Cleveland area to Canton, it’s Cavs rookie guard Sergey Karasev.

On Tuesday the Cleveland Cavaliers assigned the young Russian guard/forward Sergey  to the Canton Charge, the Cavaliers exclusively owned and operated NBA Development League team.

Karasev has yo-yoed back and forth from the Cavs and the Charge this season as he has had limited opportunities to get any minutes with the Wine and Gold under Mike Brown.

Karasev has appeared in 12 games for the Charge with averages of 13.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.2 steals in 30.0 minutes per game.

Karasev was available for Tuesday night’s Charge game against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers at the Canton Memorial Civic Center.
