Health Department Warns About People Posing as Workers
NORWALK, Ohio– Huron County Public Health wants people to be aware that some individuals are claiming to be from the Huron County Health Department, but they are not.
They said the fake workers are asking homeowners several questions, including whether or not they are eating healthy.
Huron County Public Health said its inspectors will always wear badges identifying themselves, and they’ll also have a logo embroidered on their hat, shirt or coat.
They also want people to know that inspectors will only come to your home to inspect sewage systems, private water systems and investigate nuisance complaints.
Residents are urged to verify credentials of anyone representing themselves as a health department employee.
They also stress they will never ask for financial information.
If you have any questions on this matter, you’re asked to immediately call Huron County Public Health at (419) 668-1652 ext. 231.
