AKRON, Ohio — The Akron Zoo has announced several summer camps for kids and teens beginning in June.

This year’s ZooCamps program will offer 25 different one-day, three-day or five-day camps for kids and teens ages 2 to 15. ZooCamps will offer the camps from June through August.

Registration is required to attend ZooCamps, and camps for younger children will require a parent or guardian present. ZooCamps for kids and teens ages 5 to 15 include tours of the zoo with a ZooCamp coordinator, an up-close experience with animals, take-home crafts and more.

Each ZooCamp session is limited to 15 campers. Early childhood camps are $30 per child for Akron Zoo members and $35 for non-members. Three-day camps are $65 for Akron Zoo members and $70 for non-members, and five-day camps are $95 for members and $100 for non-members. ZooCamps for teens ages 13 to 15 are $115 for Akron Zoo members and $135 for non-members. Full day camps for kids ages 7 to 12 are $160 per child for members, and $180 for non-members.
