First-time mothers don’t fully enjoy motherhood until their baby is six month old, according to new research.

Rather than making the most out of the first few months, many women say they are struggling to cope with their new lives, as well as sleepless nights, and a feeling that they don’t know what they’re doing, according to the dailymail.com.

Some women also told researchers that they found it hard not being able to leave the house whenever they wanted, and a feeling they lost common interests with friends.

To add to the constant pressure, some new moms said they felt that they were continuously being judged by others.

Despite all of the stress, eight out of ten women agreed becoming a mother is the best thing they have ever done.
