My Town: Annual ‘For the Love of Chocolate’ Festival

MEDINA, Ohio — An annual chocolate festival has made its way to northeast Ohio for the 17th year in a row.

The annual For the Love of Chocolate Festival will be held Saturday, February 1, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Medina Performing Arts Center at Medina High School.

Admission is $10 for eight samples, and all attendees 12 and older must have a ticket to enter the festival.

This year’s festival will feature the Children’s Chocolate Cookie Contest and the Decadent Chocolate Dessert Contest for professional, adult and teen cooks. Baking contests will held at the Buehler’s River Styx Community Room on Friday, January 31. Entry forms are available at local Buehler’s stores, the American Red Cross and local libraries and must be submitted by January 27.

The festival will also sell Valentine’s Day themed items and samples will include offerings from more than 40 chocolatiers.
