LORAIN -Water troubles continue Thursday morning as two intakes are clogged at the Avon Lake’s filtration plant, according to Doug Dever at the Lorain County EMA.

Crews are working to unclog the block, and have also brought in additional pumps to bring in water from deep out in Lake Erie.

The Lorain County EMA is waiting on the official word from Avon Lake Utilities on the status of the clog, but it remains cautiously optimistic, according to Dever.

Residents and businesses are still being asked to conserve water.

Fire tankers from 5 counties are being staged throughout Lorain County in case of a fire.
