My Town: Live Animals with Ohio Movers & Shakers

RUSSELL TOWNSHIP, Ohio — The state of Ohio is home to hundreds of creatures, and several will be on display for a local program.

The Ohio Movers and Shakers Live Animal Program is hosting Ohio-native wildlife including hawks, owls, opossums, skunks, rabbits, turtles, snakes on Saturday, January 18 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at The West Woods Nature Center.

The program has teamed up with the Geauga Park District’s Something’s Afoot: Nature Just Can’t Stay Put, a motion-themed exhibit at The West Woods, for the presentation by wildlife biologist Harvey Webster of the Cleveland Museum of Natural History.

Registration is not required for the event, and all ages are encouraged to attend.

The West Woods Nature Center is located at 9465 Kinsman Road (Route 87) in Russell Township.
