Teen Says Glasses Saved Her Life in Shooting
SEATTLE– A teenager said her eyeglasses may have saved her life after a drive-by shooting.
KIRO reported that Alonza Bryant, 16, fell asleep on the couch and forgot to take off her glasses.
Bryant said she heard a bang and her nose started bleeding.
She looked in the mirror and saw a bullet lodged in her forehead right above the bridge of her nose.
She believes it could have been much worse and that her glasses deflected the bullet; her family does, too.
Police said Alonza was not the intended victim.
