BRECKSVILLE, OH — The Cuyahoga Valley National Park has reopened all sections of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail after  flooding on Saturday. 

Saturday’s trail closures included associated parking lots from Lock 39 Trailhead in Independence to Botzum Trailhead in Akron. The Polar Express for Saturday evening and Sunday’s Winter Warm-ups hike were cancelled as well.

Sunday, park officials said the Towpath Trail from Lock 39 Trailhead in Independence to Station Road Bridge Trailhead in Brecksville was back open, along with Lock 29 Trailhead in Peninsula to Botzum Trailhead in Akron.

Monday, they announced all sections are back open.
