Police Investigating East Side Homicide

CLEVELAND — Authorities are investigating the death of two people on the city’s east side Friday afternoon.

According to police, officers arrived to 9274 Amesbury Avenue to find a female in the street. Cleveland police say the female had a kitchen knife near her and had been shot three times, twice in the chest and once in the arm. She was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center where she died from her injuries.

Upon further investigation, officers found a gun on the porch and a man lying on the ground inside the home. He was stabbed multiple times in the chest and pronounced dead on the scene.

Police believe the incident is part of a domestic dispute.

The Cleveland Division of Police Homicide Unit is investigating.
