WESTLAKE, OH — Thanksgiving may be next week, but it already looks like Christmas at Crocker Park!

Festivities kicked off with various performances from community groups for the annual tree lighting ceremony in Westlake. The event featured appearances by the Radio Disney crew, live music by Ryan Humbert & Band and even an appearance from Santa Claus!

Santa Claus joined in on the music and helped flip the switch on the lights on the 50-foot Christmas tree, which stands in the center of Crocker Park.

In a heartwarming ceremony, 12-year-old Nicholas of Medina was presented with his “wish” by the Make-A-Wish foundation. Nicholas battled Hodgkin’s lymphoma and wished for a UTV to use outside with his friends and help his family with chores on their farm.

His gift is a true way for him and his family to celebrate his remission.
