CANTON, OH – Canton police have released surveillance pictures of two suspects believed to be involved in vandalism on the county dog warden’s property.

It is believed it happened sometime between midnight Wednesday and 2:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Police say the vandals stole a garbage truck and used it to ram two vans parked side by side behind the county dog warden’s building. One of the two vans was pushed into the building’s air conditioners, damaging them. The other van was pushed through an outside load bearing wall of the building, leaving a gaping hole.

“Then someone had accessed the building, had smashed computers, had stolen items, which, we are still creating a list of what all is missing,” said County Administrator Brant Luther.

The garbage truck was then backed into a dog warden’s truck that had just been put in service several weeks ago.

Police were looking over surveillance video from inside the building to try and identify the people responsible.
