BRITAIN– Some mothers in the UK who breastfeed their babies could be rewarded for it.

NY Daily News reports the pilot program is intended to increase breastfeeding in poor areas of the country where it’s “stigmatized.”

Mothers will reportedly be offered $200 shopping vouchers if they breastfeed for the first six weeks of their child’s life and up to $300 if they breastfeed for six months.

About 130 women are taking part in the program, according to NY Daily News.
