1 Killed, 3 Injured in Canton Bar Shooting

CANTON, Ohio — One man was arrested after a shooting that killed one and injured three others at a Canton bar early Sunday.

Dwight Ellis, 45, faces one charge of aggravated murder and three charges of felonious assault in the incident.

According to police, it happened outside the Whistle Stop Bar, 1215 W. Tuscarawas St., at 2:30 a.m.

Terrell Skinner, 26, suffered several gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three women were also shot; one in the shoulder, one in the leg and one in the arm. They were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

Police said Ellis was arrested at the scene.

He’s being held at the Stark County Jail.
