SOLON, Ohio — Peggy Savoca, of Solon, plays the lottery every day and watches the drawings every night.

On Nov. 1, she was one of the winners.

Peggy’s daughter, who does her shopping for her, picked up a Multi-State Millions Raffle for her at a Solon Giant Eagle.

It was worth $1 million.

“It’s really strange, but I had a good feeling about it because there are so many bad things that have happened to us in the last two years, I kept saying we’re due for something good!” said Peggy, in a press release issued by the Ohio Lottery.

After state and federal taxes, Peggy will receive $710,000.

She said she’s splitting the money with her daughter, and she plans to make it a nice Christmas for the rest of her family.
