Six Killed in Crash Involving Officer

UPPER ARLINGTON, OH --  Six people were killed in a crash involving a police officer just north of Columbus overnight.

According to WBNS, the Upper Arlington police officer was heading to a robbery call at McDonald's with his lights and sirens on when he crashed into another vehicle.

Police are unsure whether the officer had a red light or green light when the crash occurred.

The passengers, one adults and five females, including a 2-year-old child, were killed. The officer was taken to the hospital with a head injury, but is expected to recover.

The road was expected to be closed through morning rush hour.
