Parrot Missing After Home Invasion

LORAIN, OH — A resident reported several items missing from her home, including a parrot, following a burglary at her residence early Tuesday morning.

According to police, a resident reported hearing noises at his neighbor’s home on West 12th Street in the early morning hours and later in the day, noticed a first floor window was broken. He told police that his neighbor works overnight and usually arrives home around 3:00 p.m.

Officers inspected the home and found suspected blood on the curtain by the window. The curtain was retrieved for evidence.

Once the homeowner returned from work, she told police a $600 television, a $1,000 ring and a $200 plain-band ring were missing from her home. Also missing was her African Gray parrot, valued at $2,000.
