VIDEO: Clerk Defends Himself Against Robber

TIFFIN, Ohio -- A clerk at a gas station in Tiffin fought back against a robber armed with a weapon and a squirt bottle.

According to Tiffin Police Department, it happened about 1:10 a.m. Wednesday at Hi-Miler Gas Station, 247 S. Sandusky St.

The clerk told police the suspect entered the store holding a weapon and some type of squirt bottle. The suspect squirted something onto the face and eyes of the clerk causing a burning sensation.

The suspect was also pointing what looked like a gun at the clerk, although it appeared to be wrapped in a sock, according to police.

The clerk is seen in surveillance video pushing the robber away and even throwing plastic crates.

The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money. He is described as being around 5' 8" tall and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds. He was wearing all black with gloves and a mask.

There was also a logo on the back of the suspect's mask and a logo on his sweatshirt.
