Akron Police Identify Homicide Victim

AKRON, Ohio – Police in Akron have identified a homicide victim discovered last Friday night.

The body of Lori E. Patch, 53, was found behind a vacant business on E. South Street in Akron on October 4th.

Police said Patch was homeless.

Patch’s body was identified after her friend came to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office to ask about her. The Medical Examiner’s Office followed up on the information and conducted a fingerprint comparison.

Lori Patch was then positively identified as the victim.

The homicide remains under investigation.
