AKRON, Ohio — A local organization is inviting all of northeast Ohio to learn more about their efforts in the community.

Project Ujima is hosting its annual kickoff event on Saturday, October 12, at 10 a.m. at Buchtel High School.

The event is free to the public, and community groups can reserve table space until October 4.

This year, Project Ujima will highlight the efforts of the group’s ReACTeams and Taskforces, as well as initiatives in the Buchtel community.

Project Ujima is part of The Akron Neighborhood Trust, which works with groups and individuals in the Akron community. Each year, Project Ujima introduces programming and other special projects at the kickoff.
