CLEVELAND — Week #6 of FOX 8′s ‘Friday Night Touchdown‘ kicks off on Friday, October 4th at 11:00 p.m.

Each week during the 2013 high school football season, we nominate four area games to receive extended coverage both on air, and online, on the Friday Night Touchdown webpage.

Students, staff, players, coaches, fans and FOX 8 viewers were invited to vote for their favorite school or game.

With more than 16,000 votes cast, the winning game is #7 HUDSON (5-0)  at  STOW-MUNROE FALLS (5-0):

Hudson just keeps winning, behind a terrific defense and great senior leadership from QB Mitchell Guadagni. The Explorers are climbing up the Division I AP Poll and trail only top-ranked St. Edward in Region 1 Playoff Points. A tough road win over the undefeated Bulldogs could put Hudson back in the top spot.  Stow fell behind Shaker Heights in the Week #5 Game of the Week, but used some stout defense and a couple big plays to knock off the unbeaten Red Raiders, 14-6. The Bulldogs are 4th in Region 1 Playoff Points and are in position to host a first round game.

FOX 8 Sports Director John Telich will provide extended coverage of the winning game on Friday night, both on-air and online.
