10-Car Accident Snarls Traffic on Highways

CLEVELAND — Several main highways were experiencing backups during the Tuesday morning commute after a 10-car accident occurred on the Innerbelt Bridge.

It happened around 7:30 a.m. on I-90 eastbound before Broadway.  The Cleveland Division of Police said one of the cars flipped and one person was trapped inside.

Emergency crews responded and at least two people were taken to MetroHealth Medical Center for unspecified injuries.

As of 8:15 a.m., the accident had been cleared but delays remained on I-90 eastbound, I-71 northbound and the Jennings Freeway.
