‘Cleveland Rocks NYE’ Festivities Announced

Cleveland Rocks 2013CLEVELAND — The ball won’t drop for months but you can start your countdown to one of the largest parties in Cleveland now!

On Tuesday, the Ohio Homecoming Group and Cleveland New Year’s Eve Alliance announced plans for ‘Cleveland Rocks New Year’s Eve 2014.’

Thousands of guests will fill Public Square on Dec. 31 and enjoy entertainment, food and fireworks while ringing in the new year.

“This is just another way that we want to showcase Cleveland and let people know that Cleveland is the heart of the region and that Cleveland is the place if you want to have activity and you want to enjoy yourself and you want to experience an urban environment, downtown Cleveland is the place,” Mayor Frank Jackson said of the upcoming event.

Part of all proceeds will go to the Village Project, which helps to nurture Cleveland communities with greater potential.
