Tricky Travel for Downtown Weekend Events

CLEVELAND — Several events will make for a busy weekend in downtown Cleveland. Along with the hustle and bustle comes a tricky traffic situation for drivers.

The city estimates 225,000 people will venture downtown this weekend. The Indians will continue their series with Houston throughout the weekend at Progressive Field. Other events include the Race for the Cure, Cleveland Classic and Ingenuity Fest.

As a reminder to drivers, both the on-ramps to the Innerbelt Bridge are closed at Ontario Street and E. 9th Street.

The E. 14th Street on-ramp to I-90 west is open. Drivers should expect delays and expect to take the marked detours.

The closures will be in effect until late 2013.
