CANTON, Ohio– The man accused of killing an 87-year-old man, then covering up the crime with a fire, appeared in court on Friday.

Chester Ray Crank, 33, was arrested this week for the murder of Bennie Angelo, a Pearl Harbor survivor and WWII veteran.

The crime was committed in 2007.

Police believe Crank set a fire at Angelo’s Endrow Ave. home, after shooting him.
