Slippery Floors Close School District

AMHERST, Mass. — Students in Massachusetts are facing a “slippery” situation!

All the schools in the regional school district were closed Thursday. A message posted on the district’s web page said the schools were closed due to “weather-related building issues,” according to WWLP.

The high school principal later said there were 22 reports of students falling during the school day Wednesday.

The district’s floors were waxed over the summer and Wednesday’s temperatures melted the wax and made the floors slippery.
