Wednesday marked the 12th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks in New York City and Washington D.C.

Several ceremonies were held in Northeast Ohio, honoring the heroes, victims and survivors, along with national events at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Wednesday night in New York City, two beams of blue light, called the "Tribute in Light," reached 4 miles into the sky. They intersected with One World Trade Center, which is still under construction.
