Giant Eagle Offers Free Antibiotics

Giant Eagle reintroduced its program to offer free generic oral antibiotics to customers with a qualifying prescription and an Advantage Card.

The program will be in effect through Feb. 28, 2014 and applies to new prescriptions and refills.  There are no limits on the number of prescriptions that can be filled.

Customers may receive up to a 14-day supply of these antibiotics:  Amoxicillin, Ampicillin, Cephalexin, Ciprofloxacin, Generic Bactrim and Penicillin VK.

Giant Eagle also announced Monday that customers will now receive fuelperks! on out-of-pocket medicare prescription purchases.

“With these announcements Giant Eagle builds upon its commitment to create greater value for our customers which already includes competitive everyday drug store pricing, free 90-day supply of select prenatal vitamins, 20 cent fuelperks! on flu shots, and more,” the company wrote in a news release.
