All-Star Masterson Exits Game Early; Indians Lose to Orioles

CLEVELAND– The Indians opened a 3-game series against the Baltimore Orioles Monday afternoon and things got off to a bad start almost right away.

In the 2nd inning, All-Star pitcher Justin Masterson had to leave the game with soreness on the left-side of his ribcage.

Preston Guilmet took over for Masterson.

The Indians two runs of the game came from Jason Kipnis in the 7th; it was his 17th home run of the season, and Lonnie Chisenhall led off the 8th with a solo homer.

Orioles took the game, 7-2.
