With all of the Stuff the Bus excitement going on at Fox 8, it got our on-air staff thinking about their school days!

Your favorite anchors, reporters and meteorologists opened up about their most embarrassing school moments, favorite school lunches and more.

They also offered some great advice for students.

ELISA AMIGO
Best Subject: Math
Favorite School Lunch: PB&J and Cheetos … I still eat that today!
Favorite School Sport or Extra Curricular Activity: Cheerleading
Most Embarrassing School Moment: Our family dog ran away and showed up at school … my brother had to leave to take him home.
Best School Memory:  Spanish class was always rowdy!
Back-to-School Advice for Students: Work hard … play hard … and enjoy it 🙂

WAYNE DAWSON
Best Subject:  History
Favorite School Lunch:  Fish sandwich and french fries
Favorite Sport or Extra Curricular Activity:  Football
Most Embarrassing School Moment:  Flunking my African-American history class
Best School Memory:  My prom
Back-to-School Advice:  Buckle down and study hard.  These are the best years of your life.

GABE SPIEGEL
Best Subject:  History
Favorite School Lunch:  Pizza at Bettes was the best!
Favorite School Sport or Extra Curricular Activity:  Baseball
Most Embarrassing School Moment: My mother died my hair blonde at Jennings MS, and it turned orange. I looked like little orphan Annie.
Best School Memory: Winning the city championship in baseball nearly every year. Go Vikings!
Back-to-School Advice for Students: Learn to love learning. I thought that I hated school because it was forced on me. Once I graduated college, I realized how much I missed it. I missed learning from top educators. Life is a continuous lesson. Soak it up. Enjoy it! Information is power. The more you learn, the more powerful you become. Pay attention to your teachers, you’re so lucky to have them.

JACK SHEA

Favorite School Lunch: PB & J
Favorite Sport or Extra Curricular Activity: Football (played wide receiver and safety)
Most Embarrassing School Moment: On the first day of kindergarten, the teacher asked each student for a $10 check to cover milk money for the entire quarter.  Jack’s mom only sent him to school with enough money for the first day — 2 cents!
Best School Memory: Graduation
Back-to-School Advice for Students: Take good notes and do your homework.

KEVIN FREEMAN
Best Subject:  English
Favorite School Lunch: Pizza
Favorite Sport or Extra Curricular Activity: Band (played clarinet)
Most Embarrassing School Moment: Can’t remember it, it was too long along!
Best School Memory: Graduation
Back-to-School Advice for Students:  Make sure to study and grasp the opportunity while you can.

TODD MEANY
Best Subject:  English
Favorite School Lunch:  Usually packed a lunch (turkey sandwich)
Favorite School Sport or Extra Curricular Activity:  Marching band
Most Embarrassing School Moment:  N/A
Best School Memory:  Don’t really have one
Back-to-School Advice for Students: Don’t be afraid of your teacher. Check in with them once a week to make sure you’re caught up on assignments, so you don’t fall behind.

KRISTI CAPEL
Best Subject:  English
Favorite School Lunch:  Taco day
Favorite Sport or Extra Curricular Activity:  Basketball
Most Embarrassing School Moment:  When my teacher left the room, the class dared me to stand up on top of my desk.  Unfortunately, my teacher returned in a matter of seconds and I was caught and thrown out in the hallway in time out.  It was a terrifying for a 3rd grader.
Best School Memory:  We beat our rivalry in basketball and I had a personal best including six 3-pointers!
Back-to-School Advice for Students:  These truly are the best days of your life.  So enjoy and work hard because this is the time for you to prepare for a bright future!

ANGELICA CAMPOS

Favorite School Lunch: Anything with tater tots
Favorite School Sport or Extra Curricular Activity: Cross country
Most Embarrassing School Moment: End of the school awards ceremony, after receiving my award I fell coming down the stairs in front of the entire school. Pretty embarrassing!
Best School Memory: Graduation!
Back-to-School Advice for Students:  Get excited, stay focused and work hard. Oh yeah, and don’t forget to get good grades.

SCOTT SABOL
Best Subject: Math and science
Favorite School Lunch: Pizza with tater tots
Favorite School Sport or Extra Curricular Activity: Baseball
Most Embarrassing School Moment:  Walking out of the bathroom with toilet paper on my shoes
Best School Memory:  Playing sports
Back-to-School Advice for Students:  Enjoy it because once you’re out of school, time flies by in the real world.

LORRIE TAYLOR
Best Subject:  Business law … I was always ready to strike a blow for justice even though I was just a teenager
Favorite School Lunch:  Creamed turkey over mashed potatoes with green beans … NIRVANA!
Favorite School Sport or Extra Curricular Activity:  Marching band during the fall months … it was like recess for big kids
Most Embarrassing School Moment:  My mind blacks out when it comes to those
Best School Memory:  Friday night football … the marching band always had a front-row seat.
Back-to-School Advice for Students:  Expect a great experience and that’s exactly what you’ll get.

BRITTANY HARRIS
Best School Subject: English
Favorite School Lunch: Chicken nuggets with mashed potatoes!
Favorite School Sport or Extra Curricular Activity: I always enjoyed going to football games.
Most Embarrassing School Moment: I really can’t remember anything too embarrassing happening.
Best School Memory:  Graduation
Back-to-School Advice for Students:  Get good grades, avoid the gossip, and be nice to everyone! (You’ll thank me later.)

DAVE NETHERS
Best Subject:  Loved the sciences – biology, chemistry
Favorite School Lunch:  Loved the awful square pizza
Favorite Sport or Extra Curricular Activity:  Was on the track team, worked out with basketball team to stay in shape but served as the manager, marching band, choir, madrigals, drama, Youngstown Junior Symphony Orchestra (trumpet)
Most Embarrassing School Moment:  Tried to high jump in my first track meet — fouled out at the height lower than everyone else started at (so I stuck to running and throwing discuss after that)
Back-to-School Advice for Students:  Work hard, do your best at everything.  School goes by in a flash by has a lifelong impact.
