CLEVELAND — A collection of family photos is back where it belongs.

When Ashley Doherty's car was stolen, more than a decade of memories was taken with it.

Her white 1993 Chevy Corsica disappeared from a lot of E. 36th Street and Superior Avenue around 2 p.m. Thursday.

The theft was caught on video.

She had a bin of her sons' pictures in the trunk because she was planning to make a scrapbook.

According to Doherty, police called her on Friday night to let her know the car was recovered.

She told Fox 8 News there was some damage to the pictures, but from what she could tell they were all there.

The vehicle itself had been stripped, however, she said.

Doherty plans to scan the pictures into her computer for safe keeping.
