MADISON VILLAGE, Ohio-- A woman who has been caught on surveillance camera stealing flowers from a senior center, several times since 2008, strikes again.

"I don't know what kind of a person, I can't imagine what kind of a person, especially, who would do this at a senior center," said Kathleen Love, who makes some of the arrangements.

The woman can be seen pulling up at the closed Madison Senior Center July 2, in the daylight evening hours, and driving to the back, parking, walking onto the porch and taking the flower arrangements make by the seniors.

"These are baskets that our members put together with their hearts, for the center, to enjoy while they are sitting out here on the patio, and this woman feels the need to just take them from them and it's just really sad," center director Jessica Edwards said.

Edwards said the same woman has been taking the seniors' flowers and herbs from the center nearly every summer for the past five years.

"Same height, same walk. I think last year she had her hair up," Edwards said.

Flyers with pictures of the flower thief caught in the act have been posted all over town in previous years, so the thief may know she was on-camera, but just didn't care.

"To come and rob, take what we've created; I just think that's awful," Love said.

During the past five years, the suspected flower thief drove three different cars.

In 2008, the woman is seen on video driving an older dark sedan.

Last year, what appears to be the same woman, drove a large, dark SUV.

And this month, she showed up in a newer-model, red compact car.

"You have a nice car. You don't need to steal flowers from senior citizens. You can go buy your own. It's just, why?" Edwards said.

Anyone with information on the woman’s identity is urged to call Madison Village Police at (440) 428-3421.
