Police: Man Beaten, Carjacked, Robbed of Fireworks

CLEVELAND-- A meeting that involved fireworks ended with a man beaten and his car stolen.

The incident happened at 2 p.m. in Kerruish Park.

According to Cleveland police, the 56-year-old victim went to the park to meet with two men.

One of the men pulled out a gun and demanded the victim's property, which police said was fireworks.

Then, police said the victim was pistol-whipped and the suspects took his vehicle.

Before driving off, they reportedly shot at him. The victim was treated and released from a local hospital.

The relationship between the victim and the suspects is under investigation.

Both suspects are described as black males with dark complexions and low-fade haircuts. Both are reportedly missing several front teeth.

One suspect is 5'10" and 170 lbs; the other is 5'10" and 200 lbs.

They were driving a 1998 gold, 4-door Chrysler Concord with Ohio license plate: FLG6012.
