CLEVELAND-If your child attends the Cleveland Metropolitan School District you’ve got some decisions to make.

CEO Eric Gordon says top performing schools have vacancies and he’s encouraging parents to choose the “Right School-Right Now.”

“I am proud to stand with our charter partners who share our vision of creating quality schools and who share our mission today to direct all Cleveland families to open seats in quality schools throughout the city,” said Gordon.

The district’s CEO announced the “Right School, Right Now” campaign during a Tuesday press conference in the auditorium of John Hay High School.

The campaign is designed to ensure all vacant seats are filled by the start of the 2013-2014 school year.

Cleveland School parent Vickie Eaton Johnson encouraged parents to get involved with their children’s education.

“Choice is very important, we choose what to eat, where to live, where to work,” said Eaton Johnson, “And I don`t know that we think enough about the choices we have for our schools, for the school students, as well as, our own kids.”
